Tom is a boy. He is ten years old. Tom has a dog. The dog’s name is Max. Max is small and brown. Tom loves Max very much.

One day, Tom opens the door. Max runs outside. Tom calls, “Max! Max! Come back!” But Max does not come back. Tom feels sad.

Tom looks in the yard. No Max. Tom looks in the street. No Max. Tom asks a woman, “Have you seen my dog?” The woman says, “No, sorry.”

Tom walks to the park. He sees many children. He asks, “Have you seen my dog, Max?” One child points and says, “Yes! The dog is near the tree.”

Tom runs to the tree. Max is there! Max is happy. He jumps and barks. Tom hugs Max and says, “Good dog! Let’s go home.”

Now Tom and Max walk home together. Tom is happy. Max is happy too.
